I’m Colleen,  an active, enthusiastic member of the higher education Web community who, in any given day, wears many hats: Web professional. Higher education champion. Communications strategist. Social media conversationalist. Project manager. Editor. Writer. Geek.

I am Web Communications Manager at Monroe Community College in Rochester, N.Y., where I use my background in communication, project management, writing, higher education and marketing to manage the College’s core Web presence.  I also sit on the board of directors for the Higher Education Web Professionals Association, whose mission statement is “To advance Web professionals, technologies, and standards in higher education” — a mission in which I believe passionately. In support of that mission I act as the communications and attendee relations manager for the annual HighEdWeb conference, hosted by the not-for-profit professional association of the same name.

The truth is, I love the Web. It is an incredible tool, and with skilled, passionate, creative people behind it, it can — has — will — change the world.

I want to be a part of that change.
